Blog Ending

This blog has everything to be finished.
First of all: This blog was named cex4valqueire22008. It specify a lot which kind of students could participate. We are not in 2008-2 anymore and we are not in Cex4 as well. So, now, this blog has no utility.

Besides that we had few participation of these students last semester. Some of them couldn't be part because they didn't receive any invitation. Maybe because anti-spam. I don't know. We can't expect now their participation.

I'll collect students' e-mails to make a new blog and I hope I can count on teachers' help too.

This new blog will be able to receive students from this semester and probably from the next ones. It could be able to receive students from intermediate and advanced levels.

It's just an idea for a while. It needs to be improved.

I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas is a Christmas novelty song written by John Coctoasten and performed by Gayla Peevey in 1953. It is a Dr. Demento Christmas staple, and is currently available on Dr. Demento's The Greatest Novelty Records of All Time Vol. 6: Christmas.

Here's an interesting fact about the popular Christmas hippopotamus song - in 1953 a ten-year-old girl from Oklahoma, Gayla Peevey sang the song as a way to raise money for the Oklahoma City Zoo's first hippopotamus. It became a nationwide hit after that, although John Rox wrote the song "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" in 1950! The song was not written specifically for the Oklahoma zoo, it's just that when they needed the hippo the song came out so the Christmas hippopotamus song just fitted in.

I'm really sorry but I haven't written for so long because I've been pretty busy and desperate. lol Well, I'd like to ask to complete these sentences with had to, didn't have to, could or couldn't:


When I was younger, I studied at a school in Sulacap. We ________ do PE so I needed to get a medical certificate every time I didn't want to participate. On the other hand, we ________decide about having music classes or not. It was really good having the chance to decide it! Some years later, I entered the university. As I _______ do PE anymore, I attended the classes. The experience was so amazing that I _________ stop it! I enjoyed the activities and, nowadays, I can't simply live without exercising!

Hello again.

In an old notepad I've read about "wish clauses" (I don't know if it's the real name for this) and I'd like to know more about it.

Ex1: I don't have a Ferrari
I wish I had a Ferrari

Ex2: Paul didn't go to the cinema
Paul wishes he had gone to the cinema

Ex3: He isn't her boyfriend
She wishes he were her boyfriend

How does it work? How's the structure which rules this grammar point?
Can anyone help me?

Well, if nobody wants to use this blog i'll use it.

Sometimes I feel my English weak because I have much to say but I can't find words which let me expose what I want to. I'd like to know where can I find some linkers or expressions or conjunctions that do it.

But I feel it's not enough.
Could anyone help me?
